I got the Remootio 3 about a year and a half ago, and honestly, it’s been a mess from the start. The problems have gone from just annoying to downright scary when it comes to security.

For starters, it keeps connecting and disconnecting from Bluetooth like it’s playing a game, even when my phone is just 10 meters away on a bench. Because of this hassle, I’ve had to turn off Bluetooth altogether.

The bigger headaches? It doesn’t open when I get close, so I have to use the app to do it manually. After I pull into the garage, I shut the door, only for it to pop back open by itself about 10 minutes later because the app finally realizes I’m in the zone. This has happened at least four times now.

The real kicker is that it has opened the garage door on six or more occasions when I was already 8 to 25 kilometers away from home, anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes after I left. If I hadn’t gotten a notification from the app, my garage could’ve been wide open all day while I was at work.

I’ve reached out to tech support multiple times about this serious issue, sent them log files at least three or four times, and still no fix. I’ve asked for a replacement or a refund, but they just ignore those requests. All I get back are suggestions I’ve already tried or claims that no one else is having these problems.

Because of this major flaw, I’ve turned off the auto-open feature, and now the Remootio is just an expensive manual door opener.

Hi, just wanted to remind you that my garage door opened 10 minutes after we left, and no one was home.

On Saturday, Feb 19th at 12:37:23, my wife and I both left together.

Then, 10 minutes later, while we were about 8 kilometers away at Aldi, I got a notification that the door opened.

We got home at 16:13, but Remootio says it opened at that time, which is just not true; the door stayed shut. I had to manually open it at 16:14 using the app.

With this happening again, I’ve got no choice but to take out the Remootio and not use it anymore since it’s a serious security risk.

I’m really unhappy with how the Remootio works, and I’m super disappointed that you won’t even consider giving me a free replacement.

I got this device, but I was really let down to find it had a problem straight out of the box. Being an electrical engineer, I did some troubleshooting and figured out what was wrong. Just a heads up, this could be a problem with other units you have on hand.

The output terminals weren’t linked to the relay contacts. When I took a closer look at the circuit board, I noticed that the solder pads on the terminal block had lifted off the board, which broke the electrical connection with the relay's output contacts.

I managed to unsolder and repair it, and now it’s working like it should.

The response from the tech team is nearly immediate, and the advice provided by Domonkos, the tech guy, is top-notch.

This is an awesome gadget! I set one up at my place yesterday and was really blown away by how well it works and the app design. I ran into a little hiccup when I first attempted to link the device with the app because I forgot to enable location services. But as soon as I did that, the app linked up with Remootio right away.

I bought a couple of Remootio 3 units, one for my garage and the other for my gate. I ran into some trouble getting the gate to function, but after several emails with their support team, it was just an 'Operator Error'. I'm really happy with their product and I'm thinking about picking up another one soon.

Domonkos was super helpful with my inquiries and made setting things up a breeze, especially since there wasn’t a lot of info available about my garage door opener with other smart options. The gadget functions alright, but the user interface isn't as polished as some other options out there, and it can only manage a single door. There are alternatives that can handle several doors for the same price. Plus, this one is pricier than many competing brands. If you decide to send it back, you'll have to cover the shipping to Hungary, which wasn't disclosed on their website. The return shipping is actually more than the cost of the device itself. I wouldn't suggest this product.

Fantastic company to work with, speedy shipping and excellent customer service (through Facebook Messenger). The item itself is amazing, super useful for deliveries. I was told it would cost £75 for each key fob for my garage, but I spent £89.99 for unlimited keys that don’t need batteries or extra hardware. Now, I can get into my door from anywhere globally or via Bluetooth locally if the internet fails. Really well designed and European style.

I could definitely get used to this! Delivery was super quick. Installation was a breeze. The price is just right. And it actually works! All in one shot. Just a heads up about the second-party vendor in the Netherlands who charges three times what it should be. Just go ahead and order from Remotioo's site. And the cherry on top? The geofencing feature is fantastic. The gate opens on its own when I pull up. Honestly, I can't give it anything but top marks. Hats off to the team!

Awesome help from the support team! I’ve got an old gate and I’m not sure about the model. I shot over an email with a pic of my circuit board and got a speedy reply on where to connect the wires. It’s working like a charm.

The customer service and tech support from Remootio are among the finest I've ever experienced. They truly deserve six stars. Plus, their products function perfectly right from the get-go. Just a little tip... maybe consider using a different courier, because UPS is pretty terrible!

I did some digging before buying an IP garage door opener that had two channels (one for opening and the other for closing). Turns out, most options out there are just single channel. Remootio was perfect since it lets you set up each channel and tweak the pulse length, making it compatible with nearly all garage door openers, including roller shutters like Euro drive. Installation was a breeze, thanks to loads of tutorials and resources available online. I had it up and running in less than an hour. The app is fantastic and super easy to navigate. Setting it up through the app, Alexa, and Siri was a piece of cake. Plus, the Apple Watch app works like a charm!

This item is just what I was looking for my new Hormann garage door, and it arrived super fast. But when I hooked it up following the Compatibility Guide, the door would open but wouldn’t close! Luckily, Csaba and Domonkos figured out that the wiring diagram for my door was off, so they guided me on what to do and promptly updated their online diagram. Now it works like a charm and is incredibly handy. To wrap it up, a fantastic product, an awesome app, and stellar customer support.

This gadget seems to be quite impressive. I was aiming to extend my wifi signal to my gate with a power line transmitter kit. Sadly, the cable was too lengthy, around 200 meters from my home. I reached out to Remootio, and they provided a complete refund; I only had to cover the return shipping. If you're buying for the wifi activation option, my suggestion is to ensure you can actually get wifi before placing your order.
